About Us

Weetons Leeds Road is our new flagship Weetons store, a premium retail and dining destination on the outskirts of Harrogate. Featuring a newly created home & gift hall (featuring Garden Trading), a high-quality produce food hall with bakery, delicatessen, chef-to-go range and butchers, a well established horticulture & garden offer as well as a delectable restaurant and cafe.

Alongside our retail experience we also offer exceptional in-house and private hire functions within our on-site events space. For 2024 we will be showcasing our wonderful Santa's grotto and Breakfast with Santa experiences which will surprise and delight children and families alike!

As such we are recruiting for an exceptional Santa to bring our Christmas Experiences to life!

The Santa Role:

We are seeking a traditional looking Santa who can be the Weetons face of Christmas for our Breakfast with Santa and Santa's grotto events throughout the end of November and December 2024. Full Santa suit will be provided. Beard/aesthetic glasses available if required.

Skills Required

• A warm and friendly personality
• Outstanding ability to engage and converse with children of all ages & diversity
• Articulate and self aware
• Confident and outgoing approach
• Energetic with lots of stamina - must be able to deliver an exceptional experience for every child!

Duties & responsibilities

• Meet and greet children and families at our Breakfast with Santa experience
• Confidently story tell to an audience (Santa story time)
• Meet and greet children and families at the Santa's grotto and ensure each child has an exceptional Santa experience.

Qualifications / Experience

• Ideally will have previously worked with children or undertaken a similar role
• Theatre stage role undertaken previously - ideal but not essential
• Must be DBS checked - no prior criminal record    

Dates when the Santa role is required

• 11 dates (10 x full days 8am - 5pm and 1 x evening 4 - 8pm):
• Saturday 30 November,
• Saturday/Sunday 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22 December,
• Monday 23 & Tuesday 24 December (8am - 5pm)
• Thursday 19 December 4 - 8pm

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
