About the job

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent experienced Butcher to join our successful and expanding team in our Foodhall at Weetons Leeds Road.

 

The Role

As a Weetons Butcher you will prepare a range of freshly prepared meat for counter and pre-packed sales. You will support the wider Weetons team by liaising with our Restaurant and Production Teams to supply meat products for our in-house menus. You’ll be passionate about quality and freshness and sharing your knowledge to support the Butchery Team and with our customer base at large.

 

What you will be doing as a Butcher?

  • You will be responsible for preparing and cutting carcasses and cutting specific joints/cuts of meat.
  • Setting up counters displays.
  • Serving customer, advising and making recommendations.
  • Supporting the Butchery Department in production planning for both the Foodhall and Restaurant.
  • Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards, in accordance with to all Due Diligence procedures.
  • Close down butcher prep and counter area each day including preparation for the following day.

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

  • 5 days of 7
  • 8  - 10 hour shift

Experience:

  • Retail Butchery 2 years (min required)
